The dress is a bit large for a size 42, but for my height of 156 cm, it's a bit short. I bought it as a nightgown. If I were buying it for everyday wear, I'd choose size S for a slightly tighter fit around the armpits. The straps are adjustable. I don't like this style because, due to the crease in the chest area, the fabric on the stomach tends to bunch up. It probably needs to be smoothed out to eliminate the creases, which will be better. Overall, I'm satisfied. According to the label and to the touch, the fabric is 100% cotton. At night on a hot day, it wasn't warm for me.
