    I don't have the tools to confirm if it is indeed VG10, but when I try with a file the file does not cling to the inside steel but clings to the outside of the dasmascus.
    So it confirms that the inside is harder than my file and the outer damask jacket.

    I also ground a little on the damask part and the pattern is not just on the surface.

    Great knife for the price!
